Our Founder, Kate Bell, recently ran a poll to find the most common reason for disposing ofย clothing, and the results confirmed her suspicion that she came to while trying to sort outย her own wardrobe during lock down. One of the key factors driving the demand for fastย fashion is simply that we change shape and so inevitably we buy new clothes to suit a newย size. If those clothes are just a temporary fix for a short time, such as maternity wear, weย tend to opt for lower cost options.
It is an interesting aspect to consider in the combat of fast fashion, and it hasnโt been vastlyย considered yet when providing the consumer with options and to reduce the demand for fastย fashion surely we have to find a solution to this? Clothing that grows with us…..
